Newton County Circuit Court records show a Highway Patrol trooper clocked Lynch, 29, who was driving a Ford F-150, going 89 miles per hour in a 70 mile per hour zone.
Under a plea agreement with the Newton County Prosecuting Attorney's office, Lynch pleaded guilty January 17, 2018, to a reduced charge of defective equipment and was fined $464.50.
Such a reduction would not have been permitted had Lynch been driving one mile per hour faster.
Online records show three other guilty pleas to traffic offenses, two for not wearing a seat belt and one for failure to stop at a stop sign, all in Greene County.
Lynch has been charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, careless and imprudent driving and leaving the scene of an accident in connection with the crash at the intersection of Glenstone and Kearney.
Killed in the accident were Jamin Seabert, 41, Kimberly Seabert, 41, both of Reeds Springs, and Braeden Seabert, 19, Watseka, Illinois.
