Federal grand jury indicts Joplin man on weapons charge

A grand jury indictment against a Joplin man for illegally possessing a weapon was unsealed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

According to the indictment, Joe Bob Green, 38, Joplin, a convicted felon, possessed a loaded Harrington & Richardson model .929 .22 caliber revolver March 2 in Jasper County.







That was the day the Jasper County Sheriff's Office arrested Green on felony charges of tampering with a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.

Green's next hearing in that case is set for September 23.
