A federal grand jury indicted a Lamar man on a meth trafficking charge.
In the indictment, which was unsealed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the government alleges Marcas Aaron Elliott, 31, possessed 50 or more grams of methamphetamine May 30 with intent to distribute.
Elliott was scheduled to have a probation violation hearing today in Barton County Circuit Court. He received a suspended sentence August 28, 2018 after pleading guilty to stealing a vehicle.
An arraignment, detention hearing and scheduling conference on the federal charge is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Friday in Springfield.
Why can't I find this in Lamar case net?and is the any other information on this case?
ReplyDeleteThis is a federal case, so it won't be on case.net.
ReplyDeleteSadly, these are usually not covered in local media, unless a news release is sent out by the U. S. Attorney's office and in this case, no release was issued. I do a daily check on the federal court dockets and will provide updates on this case when anything happens.
You can access federal court records by setting up an account with pacer.gov and going to the website for the U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri and putting the name in the search field.
Unfortunately, the federal government charges 10 cents per page to look at court records. If a document is more than 30 pages, and most of them are not, the total is capped at $3.
