Ann Wagner: Why I voted no on Nancy Pelosi's impeachment resolution

(From Second District Congresswoman Ann Wagner)

I voted no on Speaker Pelosi’s impeachment resolution.

It is a disservice to our nation that we are subjected to this unfair process that Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi have wielded against the American people by way of closed door secret meetings.

Our constituents want accountability and transparency, not partisan talking points from politicians who won’t even allow votes on broadly supported legislation that will help all Americans.

Congress must get to work for the people and pass legislation like the USMCA, drug pricing reform, and the National Defense Authorization, which we need to ensure our military readiness and national security.

The process you so oppose is and was set up by founding fathers for the exact cause we are seeing in a corrupt and sleaze of an administration we now have in office. Your party had no problem with Clinton impeachment, but now it is on your group of "gangsters" and you are crying "foul". I just hope that the electorate sees the republican party for what it is and stands for and votes most of you out for the lack of morals and selfishness you have been showing. You come from a "bible belt state", but have taken one of the lowest roads available in our history.
