Josh Hawley: We owe a debt to our veterans that we can never repay

(From Sen. Josh Hawley)

More than four hundred thousand. That is how many veterans live in the state of Missouri.

Four hundred thousand brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect us. Four hundred thousand families worried about their loved one but proud that they answered the call to serve.

We owe a debt to our veterans that we can never repay. The service and sacrifice they show for us is a constant reminder of what true patriotism means.

It is my honor to represent so many veterans in Missouri, and I promise to never stop working for their needs.

This week, as we're reminded to be grateful for all our blessings, I am incredibly thankful that we are protected by men and women such as these and for the freedoms they continue to defend. I hope you'll join me in thanking them for their service, and praying for their safe future.

Happy Veterans Day and God bless America,

When was the last time that Hawley, Blunt and Long had public meetings fully advertised before he shows up and opens discussions to anyone other than faithful uninformed republicans. Why is that? Be nice if MSSU had some public meetings with topics that address real problems in our society with speakers on both sides of issues. Maybe talks centering on one subject each week such as: birth control versus unwanted babies: cost of preventing versus forcing women to have them, realistic gun control and should veterans with PTSD be allowed to have CC, why are some farms allowed to get subsidies for each member of the family when it is all the same land size, why not limit campaign expenditures to the amount of money each candidate receives for compensation in their role, what or why does our president get to retain control of his empire and exploit it for his benefit. Wow, would that be refreshing to see some of these debates.
