At the conclusion of a hearing this morning in Jasper County Circuit Court, Judge Jerry Holcomb reduced the bond for former Webb City Junior High School teacher/coach Nicholas Popejoy from $100,000 cash only to $25,000 bond.
A 3 p.m. February 3 preliminary hearing was set for Popejoy, 28, who is charged with statutory sodomy for allegedly touching an underage boy under his clothing at the school on November 15.
Holcomb set the following stipulations for Popejoy:
-No contact with the victim through any means or through third parties
-Must not come in within 100 yards of the victim's home or school
-No contact with children under the age of 18
-He will be placed on electronic monitoring at his cost
-He will be placed on house arrest at his parents' home in Arma, Kansas, and cannot leave except for court appearances, doctor appointments or meetings with his attorney.
-He will surrender his passport.
Why is this "judge" going with the flow? Jerry Holcomb couldn't handle family court much less tie his own shoes. He's a spineless puppet that goes with the flow. Just ask his wife. She's on the 29th circuit court. Coincidence? LOL...don't rock the boat Jerry...keep taking that money.
