Joplin Chamber to announce Golden Apple Award winners during city's weekly briefing

The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce will announce the winner of its annual Golden Apple Awards during the City of Joplin's weekly COVID-19 briefing 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at City Hall.

The announcement was made in a Facebook post today:

We will be live on Wednesday during the City of Joplin press briefing, to announce the 2020 Golden Apple Award Recipients. Awards will be presented by our sponsors Liberty Utilities and Missouri Southern State University.

Golden Apple Awards are presented annually to top teachers in Joplin's public and private schools. The awards are normally presented during the Chamber's annual banquet, which was not held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
