Missouri approaching 9,000 COVID-19 cases, 19 added to death toll

Sometime in the next 24 hours, the state of Missouri is expected to surpass 9,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The total as of 2 p.m. today, according to the Department of Health and Senior Services stands at 8,916, an increase of 162 cases over the previous day.







Nineteen deaths were added to the state's total bringing the toll to 377.

Twelve of the deaths were in St. Louis County, which leads Missouri with 189, followed by St. Louis with 65 an increase of six, St. Charles County 30, Kansas City 16, Jackson and Franklin counties 13 and Jefferson County 10.
