Twenty-nine COVID-19 deaths reported in Missouri during 24-hour period

The COVID-19 death toll in Missouri stands at 449 after 29 people died from the virus during a 24-hour period, according to statistics released this afternoon by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

The state has had 9,489 confirmed cases, up from 9,341 Thursday.

Seven of the deaths were recorded in St. Louis County, which tops Missouri with 246, followed by 71 in St. Louis, 33 in St. Charles County, 16 in Kansas City, 14 in Jackson County, 13 in Franklin County and 10 in Jefferson County
