Jasper County COVID-19 count at 407, 1,137 under quarantine, Carthage continues to be hammered hard

The Carthage area continues to be hammered hard by COVID-19 as Jasper County cases climbed to 407 with much of it coming from Carthage, according to a news release issued this evening by the Jasper County Health Department.

The county has had109 cases confirmed since a Saturday news release and 177 in the past six days.








Of the 407, 211 remain in isolation, the news release said, "including positives which are hospitalized." No number was given for how many are in hospitals.

An additional 1,137 people are under quarantine and health officials are monitoring 881 people for symptoms.
