Seventy-nine COVID-19 cases confirmed in Jasper County, total at 820

Seventy-nine COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Jasper County since Friday, raising the total to 820, according to statistics posted this evening on the Jasper County Health Department Facebook page.

The number who are under isolation dropped from 234 to 165, but the number of people hospitalized increased from six to nine.

The statistics do not include Joplin residents who live in Jasper County.

The information, as has been the practice of the Jasper County Health Department, does not include any information about potential coronavirus exposures or details about where the outbreaks are occurring in the county, though earlier it reported a heavy concentration of COVID-19 cases in the Carthage area.
