Four more COVID-19 deaths reported in Newton County

Newton County's COVID-19 death toll increased to 10 today with the health department's announcement that four people died from the virus.

The only information provided about the deaths is they ranged from age from 50 to 90 years and all had been hospitalized for several days.

Earlier this evening, the health department posted the following statistics on its Facebook page:

16 New Cases
856 Lab Confirmed COVID-19 cases
237 Cases currently in isolation (6 hospitalized)
609 have been released from isolation
10 passed away
