Greene County reports 14th COVID-19 death, 60 people hospitalized

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is heartbroken to announce the death of a Greene County resident from COVID-19.

Our community’s 14th death is a woman in her 80s who was immunocompromised.

The Health Department extends our condolences to loved ones at this tragic time.

This is the third COVID-19 death in August.

As of this morning, there are 60 COVID-19 positive individuals hospitalized at either CoxHealth or Mercy Hospital Springfield. 13 of those individuals are in intensive care.
