Taney County stops publishing COVID-19 exposures- Every public place should be considered a public exposure

(From the Taney County Health Department)

Throughout this pandemic, Taney County Health Department has been providing the public with lists of places symptomatic individual visited.

We did this to help residents gauge their risk of exposure and to alert them that they should monitor for symptoms if they had been at that location.

Currently, community spread in Taney County is so expansive that we are only learning about a very small fraction of public exposures.

Because the pandemic has reached a point that every public place should be considered a public exposure, we will no longer be publishing patient itineraries in press release.
