Thirty-one Greene County Jail inmates test positive for COVID-19

Thirty-one Greene County jail inmates tested positive for COVID-19, according to a news release from the Greene County Sheriff's Office.

From the Springfield News-Leader:

The 31 positive results among inmates comes after 123 of the roughly 750 inmates being housed at the jail were tested. Of those 31 inmates with COVID-19, two are showing symptoms, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said in a news release all of the positive cases originated from one housing unit "which is not attached to the main facility," presumably meaning the temporary jail facility (known colloquially as the trailer jail).
