The city of Joplin reported 34 new COVID-19 cases during a 24-hour period, according to statistics posted Wednesday morning on the city's COVID-19 dashboard.
The number of people who are under quarantine increased from 284 to 317, with the number of active cases rising from 176 to 188.
The number of city residents hospitalized increased from 10 to 11, while the number of patients being treated for the coronavirus at Freeman and Mercy hospitals increased to a record 57 patients.
Joplin has recorded 23 deaths due to COVID-19.
