Arkansas reports 21 COVID-19 deaths, 1,265 new cases

Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Thursday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 1,265 new cases; 7,070 active cases; 547 hospitalized, which is up 9 from Wednesday; 103 on ventilators, which is up 5 from Wednesday; deaths added today, 21, for a total of 1,503 ; a total of 90,145 cases; 78,405 recoveries; PCR tests, 10,749; antigen tests, 1,444.








The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 84; Washington, 61; Sebastian, 60; Craighead, 51; and Benton, 48.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“We continue to see high levels of community spread across Arkansas. While I see so many Arkansans doing the right thing by wearing a mask, keeping their distance, and avoiding large gatherings, I know that it will take everyone working together to defeat this virus.”
