Joplin tops 1,500 mark in COVID-19 cases with 54 confirmed

 

Joplin passed the 1,500 mark in COVID-19 cases Monday, according to statistics posted on the city's dashboard today.

The first statistics posted in four days showed 54 coronavirus cases confirmed during that time bringing the total to 1,503.







The number of city residents who are hospitalized fell from 24 to 21, but the number of COVID-19 patients at Freeman and Mercy hospitals remained at 54.

The number of active cases among city residents decreased from 144 to 106, with the number of people under quarantine reduced from 349 to 290.

Joplin has recorded 25 deaths due to COVID-19.
