Joplin High School's opening round state football playoff game against Rockhurst High School ended days before it was scheduled to start when a positive COVID-19 test put the Kansas City school's entire football team under quarantine for the next two weeks.
The school worked with the Kansas City Health Department to see if there was any way they game could be played, according to the KMBC report that is featured in the accompanying video and the decision was made to forfeit the game.
KSHB reports Rockhurst Coach Kelly Donohoe confirmed that it was a player who participated in the team's game with Blue Springs Friday night who tested positive.
Can somebody go quarantine Christian Brothers School please!
