(From Sen. Roy Blunt, R-MO)Today, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Judge Amy Coney Barrett ahead of the Senate’s upcoming vote on her confirmation to the Supreme Court.
I was proud to support her confirmation to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and after meeting with her today and watching her nomination hearing last week, I’m even prouder to vote for her to be an associate justice.

Because of these very same traits, it’s no surprise that shortly after President Trump announced her as the nominee, 22 attorneys general sent a letter supporting her confirmation. They wrote, "Judge Barrett’s judicial opinions display a robust commitment to interpreting the Constitution based on its original meaning."
Judge Barrett is eminently qualified. She is a constitutionalist who will fairly apply the rule of law as it is written. Throughout the days of her hearing, she consistently reiterated her belief that judges should not legislate from the bench.
Her no-notes approach impressively showcased her brilliant command of the law and demonstrated why she is considered an exceptional jurist.
Judge Amy Coney Barrett will serve the American people with honor and distinction.

Perfect little minion of Trump Blunt. Funny how the ABA did not endorse her for the appointment, but then what does the American Bar Assoc know. You and the rest of the republican senators, McConnell especially, should be embarrassed to even consider this action, but then you have no shame in denying the American citizen of proper representation.
