90-year-old woman is Joplin's 54th COVID-19 fatality, 18 in the past two weeks


The Joplin Health Department announced the city's 54th death due to COVID-19 today.

The victim was a 90-year-old woman who was a resident of a long-term care facility, according to a Health Department news release.

The city has recorded 18 coronavirus deaths in the past two weeks, including four in the past two days.
