Arkansas reports 23 COVID-19 deaths

Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Wednesday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 1,293 new cases; 10,010 active cases; 642 hospitalized, which is down 25 from Tuesday; 111 on ventilators, which is down 10 from Tuesday; deaths added today, 23, for a total of 2,026; a total of 115,812 cases; 96,433 recoveries; PCR tests, 8,193; antigen tests, 1,167.








The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 121; Craighead, 112, Washington, 95; Benton, 87; and Sebastian, 49.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

"Compared to last Wednesday (961), our case numbers have increased. Let’s work to break the cycle of really high numbers in the middle of the week. If we continue on this trend, our hospitals will be challenged. Each one of us must do our part to help our community and state overcome this virus."
