Nine Greene County residents die from COVID-19, 34 this month

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is heartbroken to announce the deaths of nine Greene County residents from COVID-19.

Our community lost:
A woman in her 50s
A man in his 60s
A woman in her 70s







A woman in her 70s
A man in his 70s
A man in his 70s
A man in his 70s
A man in his 80s
A man in his 80s

The Health Department extends our condolences to everyone impacted by these losses.

Thirty-four deaths have been reported by the Health Department in November. A total of 188 Greene County residents have died from COVID-19.

Monday, November 16, we received 191 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Greene County. Our current total is 12,861 confirmed cases.

As of this morning, there were 204 COVID-19 positive individuals hospitalized at either CoxHealth or Mercy Hospital Springfield (a record high). 81 of those individuals are Greene County residents.
