Record-high 97 COVID-19 patients in Joplin hospitals, city passes 3,000 cases

 

The number of COVID-19 patients at Freeman, Mercy and Landmark hospitals reached a record high 97, according to statistics posted today on the City of Joplin's COVID-19 dashboard.

Of those 97, 28 are Joplin residents.

The Joplin Health Department confirmed 24 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours and has been averaging just over 50 per day over the past seven days.

With the latest confirmations, Joplin passed 3,000 cases at 3,010.

The city has recorded 50 deaths due to COVID-19.
