Arkansas reports 34 COVID-19 deaths

Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.
In its Wednesday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 2,327 new cases; 18,765 active cases; 1,064 hospitalized, which is down 17 from Tuesday; 179 on ventilators, which is down 3 from Tuesday; deaths added today, 34, for a total of 2,786; a total of 176,652 cases; 135,214 recoveries; PCR tests, 10,806; antigen tests, 3,270.








The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 276; Benton, 165; Washington, 136; Craighead, 125; and Garland, 89.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“This morning I had a very productive meeting with community leaders in northwest Arkansas. The discussions around health care, education, and business provided my team and me with valuable insight into the challenges that are being faced as a result of this virus. Because of a delay in our computer system, today's report was delayed later than normal."
