The Newton County Health Department confirmed 34 COVID-19 cases bringing the city's total to 3,654.
Statistics posted today on the department's Facebook page shows 338 people currently in isolation, down from 364 the previous day. The number of people who are hospitalized remained at 25.
Newton County has recorded 61 deaths due to COVID-19. The statistics do not include the portion of Newton County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
