The Newton County Health Department confirmed 36 new cases of COVID-19, according to statistics posted on the department's Facebook page this evening.
The county has had 3,242 cases, with 400 currently under isolation, an increase from 386 on the previous day.
Twenty-five county residents are hospitalized with coronavirus.
Newton County has posted 49 deaths due to COVID-19.
The statistics do not include Newton Countyi residents who live in the Joplin city limits.
