City of Joplin reaches 100 COVID-19 deaths as four more reported


Four Joplin residents died due to COVID-19 bringing the city's toll to 100.

The victims were a 65-year-old woman, a 71-year-old man, an 81-year-old man and a 98-year-old woman.

The Joplin Health Department confirmed 22 new cases Monday, increasing the total to 5,058 to date.

Of those cases, 257 remain active.

Joplin hospitals have 94 COVID-19 patients, including 29 city residents.
