Joplin confirms 32 COVID-19 cases, 35 city residents hospitalized


The Joplin Health Department confirmed 32 new COVID-19 cases, according to statistics posted on the city's website Wednesday evening.

The new cases increase the number of cases to 5,139 to date, with 258 remaining active.

The information was posted on the same day that the department announced the deaths of five more residents, bringing the total to 105.

The city's hospitals have 95 COVID-19 patients, including 35 from Joplin.
