The Jasper County Health Department reported two COVID-19 deaths today.
The victims were a woman in her 80s and a man in her 60s. The deaths bring the county's total to 153.
The department confirmed five new coronavirus cases Wednesday and has had 53 over the past week and 9,112 to date. Forty-nine cases are active.
The statistics do not include the portion of Jasper County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
