Only eight COVID-19 patients, including two Joplin residents, are at city hospitals, according to statistics posted Thursday night on the city's website.
The Joplin Health Department confirmed eight cases Thursday, bringing the total to 5,922, including 30 active cases.
Joplin has recorded 127 deaths due to COVID-19.
