(From Sen. Roy Blunt, R-MO)A little over a year ago, our daily lives abruptly changed. Main Street businesses closed, classrooms shifted to virtual learning, and families were kept apart out of an abundance of caution.
Now, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the tireless work of scientists and medical researchers. Because of them, we have witnessed a modern medical miracle: the development and distribution of safe and effective COVID vaccines.
I’m very proud of the role Missourians have played in getting us to this point – Missourians working in Pfizer’s Chesterfield lab are the first stage in their vaccine production process.
All across our state, frontline workers, health care professionals, and National Guardsmen have been busy getting vaccines to every Missourian who wants one.
Last week, I met with frontline workers around Missouri. It was incredible to see the vaccination sites set up to give Missourians a vaccine that didn’t exist a year ago.
Because of the vaccine, we are on our way to returning to normal. I encourage every Missourian who wants to get a vaccine to get one. Go to MOStopsCOVID.com to register and find your nearest vaccine event.
Thanks Roy!
ReplyDeleteI see now he's trying to do his part.
Good luck convincing those that need convincing. Every little bit helps though.
Hoping that the Republican herd mentality concerning COVID doesn't hold Missouri and the nation back. Vaccine holdouts could help ensure the virus continues to circulate and kill.
