The Jasper R-V School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Eric Findley as their new superintendent.

Dr. Eric Findley received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1992. According to Dr. Findley, he began his career in education so he could coach and he stayed in this field so he could help kids. “I love working with kids of all ages,” he said.

After teaching elementary physical education and coaching several sports, Dr. Findley earned his Master of Education in Administration from William Woods University in 2002.

After a short stint in the private sector as a business owner, he started back into education as a high school health teacher, baseball and basketball coach, HS/MS guidance counselor, assistant principal and then high school principal at Cole R-V School in Eugene. He then spent five years solely as the MS Principal at Warsaw before becoming the Transition Coordinator at Camdenton School district. After spending two years in that role, he started his superintendency at High Point R-III.

“I am excited about the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and community of the Jasper R-V School district. I have witnessed many successes in the Jasper district and I am looking forward to working with the staff to continue those previous accomplishments.

"My goal is to continue building a winning atmosphere, both in and out of the classroom. I know that together we will build one family and one community,” said Dr. Findley.

Dr. Findley received his Specialist Degree in the Superintendency from Lincoln University in 2011 and his Doctorate in Teaching and Learning from Missouri Baptist University in 2013.

He has been married to his wife, Jill, for 30 years. They have two children Tyler (19) and Levi (17). In his spare time he loves to spend time outdoors hunting or walking in the woods or in his shop working on classic cars.

“Family time is important to me,” said Dr. Findley. “I feel like we are close and I will drop everything to spend time with family. We play music together on Sunday mornings at church, we hunt together and we travel together.”

Dr. Findley will assume his duties in Jasper on July 1st. He replaces Christina Hess who will be assuming the superintendent’s position at Steelville, Missouri.
