Former State Senator Ed Emery, R-Lamar, continues to recover at University Hospital in Columbia following what is described in a news release as a "heart episode."
Emery, who is running for the Fourth District Congressional seat, collapsed during a speech in Moberly Tuesday.
According to the release, "Emery’s wife, Rebecca, who is with him, appreciates all the well-wishes she has received and is grateful for your continued prayers for her husband’s recovery."
The release did not indicate if Emery's condition, which was described Wednesday as "critical" has been upgraded.
Ed is probably lucky this happened when it did rather than in 2 weeks. All his unvaccinated covidiot voters could have finished filling the hospitals by then, leaving Ed without a ICU bed and staff when he needed it.
