The Springfield News-Leader reports that about 200 people attended a protest at Mercy Hospital Saturday, declaring their opposition against the "tyranny" of Mercy or any other business requiring its employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
Many who did not attend the rally but drove by, showed their support by honking their horns.
The article quoted attendees who described themselves as "patriots" and who made the idiotic claim, which I have seen posted elsewhere on Facebook that the vaccine is killing more people than COVID.
Tracy Forker, a nurse at Cox Medical Center said she will walk away from her job if Cox requires its employees to get vaccinated.
“I'm disturbed by medical censorship, medical tyranny. I think that science has been taken hostage by politics. We are a constitutional republic; we have God-given rights and constitutionally protected rights that are being threatened by overreaching mandates,” Forker said. “I think it's time we just stand up and make our voices heard. I'm in a position where I can walk away from my job. A lot of people aren't. But I can and will.”Good riddance!
It is sad to think that those who have had the common sense to get vaccinated to fend off the worst virus to hit this nation in decades are at the mercy of people like her.
Here's a counter point from Bob Priddy, a journalist who covered the Missouri capitol for years:

Humans are the only animals on earth who are driving THEMSELVES to extinction.
