Joplin man sentenced to five years on child pornography charge

A Joplin man was sentenced to five years in prison during a hearing today in U. S. District Court in Springfield on a charge of receiving and distributing child pornography.

Caleb Riley Adams, 25, will be placed on supervised probation for 10 years after his sentence is completed.

Adams, who pleaded guilty January 20, confessed to investigating officers, according to the charging documents and "stated that his preference was pre-teen minor females, but he had viewed child pornography with minors as young as babies."
