Joplin R-8 Board hires principal, four teachers, 24 classified employees, approves two certified "separations"


During a closed session December 13, the Joplin R-8 Board of Education hired Breanna Faircloth, who has been serving as assistant principal at Irving Elementary as the new principal at Royal Heights. Former Crowder College President Glenn Coltharp has been interim principal since the beginning of the school year.

Faircloth will take over at the beginning of the spring semester.

The board also hired four teachers and 24 classified employees.

Classified Employment- Mercedes Adame, Jacquelyn Beckett, Shawn Buffalo, Logan Burrus, Brent Edwards, Joy Grant, Angel Hughes, Laura Lyons, Leah McCully, Lawrence McDonald, Melissa Murray, Deonna Newton, Heidi Patrick, Nathan Roberts, Kelly Stevenson, Taylor Box, Kylee Burke, Morgen Collins, Reagan Fowler, Alane Golubski, Kristen LaMarr, Heather Osborn, Mickell Warren, Cheryl Warstler

What was termed as "certified separations" were approved for Andrea Sanchez and Kylee Burke. Burke is listed as one of the classified hires. Sanchez and Burke were hired at the May 24 board meeting.
