Nine candidates filed for three three-year posts on the board including incumbents Jeff Koch and Derek Gander, Scheurich, Landis, Marda Schroeder, Matthew Robertson, Frank Thompson, Michelle Steverson and Nathan Keizer.
She spent $2800 for signs from a company in Iowa and a lousy $200 at a sign company in Joplin.
ReplyDeleteeRRRYBODY gettin PAID!!!
ReplyDeleteOh look everyone! Another candidate, just dripping with $leaze...
ReplyDeleteSend your kids to Thomas Jefferson and be on their board. Joplin R8 has suffered enough. Please go away. Our kids deserve better and so do the teachers.
ReplyDeleteThis person is volunteering to work and serve our local schools and community. Where is the thanks for their time and efforts. Who cares where they spend the money on the signs. I do not know her personally but know of her. Before you judge, what have you done to better your community?
ReplyDelete@6:47 first off, this person has not been elected to anything. All I see is candidates trading promises for fat checks. The frightening thing is, what were the promises? I love what chicanery falls under "bettering your community".
ReplyDeleteAfter going to school with her brothers gonna be a hard no from me, dog.
ReplyDeleteMan…imagine holding such a grudge that you would anonymously comment on a blog about someone’s brothers with whom you went to school over two decades ago. Let me know if I need to call and apologize for something so you don’t pull a Billy Madison/Steve Buschemi stunt.
DeleteThe comments on here are terrible, I'm ashamed for anyone outside the Joplin area to read how bitter people are. I have always been of the opinion if you don't like it then leave. 98% of the comments in here show zero signs of intelligent thought.
ReplyDeleteVeronica is and always has been a supporter of Joplin. She understands the community, schools, and those who they serve. Thank you, Veronica, for being willing to serve.
ReplyDeletePpl can air complaints without being forced out of their community. Grow up and learn to take criticism.
ReplyDeleteThis community is not perfect and requires dissent to grow and evolve.
Is there a place that anyone can recommend to learn about school board candidates, their values, and platform? I have no idea who these people are. Without growing up here, I feel out of the loop.
Did you mean "people"??? Those are not complaints they uneducated comments that seem to rule most of social media platforms.
ReplyDeleteYet here you are complaining. If you do not like it, leave the internet.
