A Carterville man pleaded guilty this morning to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
During a hearing in U. S. District Court in Springfield, Judge David P. Rush ordered a presentence investigation for Cody Wayne Goucher. No date has been set for sentencing.
Goucher, 44, was arrested October 7, 2022 by the Carl Junction Police Department. According to the criminal complaint, officers found a green backpack containing a large amount of meth.
