Joplin man to be sentenced on statutory rape charge

The sentencing hearing for a Joplin man who pleaded guilty to second degree statutory rape in March, will be held Monday in Jasper County Circuit Court.

Under a plea agreement with the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office, David Timothy Gallowich, 57, pleaded guilty in exchange for the dismissal of first degree statutory rape and child molestation charges. The agreement also calls for Gallowich to receive no more than 10 years in prison.

Galloway admitted to raping the girl, who was younger than 17, in the summer of 2020, but the probable cause statement indicated the girl said he had been forcibly raping her since 2017.

Judge Gayle Crane does not have to accept the plea.

What a scumbag. Why do we do deals with these monsters? 20 years should be the minimum. He raped a young girl. He should be lucky to get off that easy. The old days would've hanged him. That still would be the preferable method of punishment.

Is this person a repeat chimo/sex crime offender?

If so, why is the prosecutor so eager to make a deal with this criminal?

KTOV Tulsa reported the following when alleged perp Galloway was arrested on Jan 27, 2021:

Rogers County Deputies arrested a Joplin man wanted for raping two girls.

55-year-old David Gallowich was booked into jail Wednesday afternoon. Court documents said Gallowich is accused of raping a girl under the age of 12 in 2017. He is also accused of raping another underage girl last fall.

Detectives said Gallowich has previously been arrested for child sex crimes in Arizona.

If judge Crane would like to keep her job, she should not accept the plea deal and give this repeat sex offender the maximum sentence.

We have Got to STOP being Soft on Criminals!!! We have to Elect / Appoint - Politicians / Judges / Prosecuting Attorneys and Educate Jurors to the Fact that most Criminals CANNOT be Re-Formed. Criminals get Minimum Sentences after being Prosecuted Multiple Times and then Serve Partial Sentences in Jail - Only to come back into Society to Commit another Crime.

These are the Facts - - I am Not for Sure Why - Everyone wants to give these Criminals Three, Four, or More Chances to Re-Commit Additional Crimes On Society - -

Stop Feeling Sorry For These Criminals and Start Feeling Sorry for the Victims - - Your or Your Family, Friends, Etc., could be their Next Victim.
