Crowder College working to help Tyson employees as plant closing nears

(From Crowder College)

Crowder College has a close relationship with Tyson, holding Adult English Literacy classes in Noel for the past 24 years and most recently at the Noel plant, serving approximately 100 students each year.

The College will be working closely with the Workforce Innovation Board (WIB) in Joplin, the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce, Missouri’s Rapid Response team as well as meeting with representatives of the Tyson plant to understand the needs of the employees affected by the plant’s closing in October.

“Our heart goes out to the employees impacted by the Tyson plant in Noel, Missouri. They are members of the communities we serve, and our goal is to help them find success even during this difficult and uncertain time,” stated Dr. Katricia Pierson, Crowder College President.

Tyson is closing the oldest smallest least efficient plants.

Why was it that Tyson invested in other places rather than the Four Corners?

They took the Covid money like Yellow Freight and used it to benefit the shareholders and CEO probably. Wake up people, you paid for all of this and got NADA. Oh and people will not have a job, but who cares. Keep voting for for D and R. They love you all. Both parties screw the USA daily. Look at our corrupt Supreme Court. Kickbacks from donors all along. Not one consequence. Still sitting up there in the big White House with the fat benefits and pay. Can we fire them today and take their benefits?
