Numerous media outlets are reporting Nexstar Broadcasting, which owns KSNF and manages KODE is in talks with Disney to buy ABC.
The source said Disney is likely not in advanced talk, noting that the Mouse House would want to “kick the tires” to get the best price before moving forward with Nexstar.
“I’m sure Nexstar will make a huge push for the assets,” the source said.
Nexstar has been increasing its portfolio in recent years, buying WGN in Chicago and turning it into News Nation, as well as the CW Network and the political magazine The Hill. Nexstar owns more than 200 local television stations.
