Carl Junction leaving Central Ozark Conference to join new conference

 

Carl Junction is leaving the Central Ozark Conference to join the newly-formed Ozark Mountain Conference.

The news was revealed to Carl Junction patrons in a post on the district's Facebook page this morning.

Exciting News! Introducing the Ozark Mountain Conference!

Six high schools - Branson, Bolivar, Carl Junction, Logan-Rogersville, Marshfield, and West Plains - are uniting for excellence in academics and athletics. Starting 2024-2025, they'll compete in this new conference, enhancing opportunities for student-athletes. Let's cheer them on!

The high schools are all of a similar size, even though the conference will require far more travel since the current conference includes nearby schools such as Webb City, Neosho and Joplin.
