The Barton County Prosecuting Attorney's office charged a Liberal man with third degree assault, a felony, today following an incident Tuesday at the man's home.
According to the probable cause statement, Kevin Allen Kish (DOB 1974), "pushed (his wife) and hit her with a fishing pole during an argument causing a laceration on her leg and hand. The laceration went across his leg approximately six inches."
A warrant was issued for Kish's arrest with bond set at $5,000 cash or surety.
The case was investigated by the Liberal Police Department.
There seems something fishy about this whole thing.
