Arraignment Monday for Joplin man charged with sexually assaulting wife, breaking her nose

A Joplin man charged with felony domestic assault and aggravated sexual abuse will be arraigned Monday in Newton County Circuit Court.

Eric T. Falkensten (DOB 1978) waived his preliminary hearing October 2 and was bound over for trial.

Falkensten's alleged crimes occurred August 19 in his home

From the probable cause statement:

Vl (Victim) stated that her husband, Eric Falkensten, was intoxicated by alcohol and making sexual advances toward her. She also stated he was being sexually aggressive toward her at multiple points during the evening.

At one point he began touching her while lying in bed and she didn't want him to, so she p
ushed him away. Falkensten then picked her up and began punching her numerous times in the face.

She stated that everything went vague and blurry, but she couldn't remember if
she lost consciousness. Their three kids made statements that Falkensten was trying to "force sex" and "force sexual activities" on Vl.

When (others) found VI, she had blood all over her and Falkensten was standing over her completely naked. The domestic assault and the sexual abuse were both charged felony because VI suffered an obvious broken nose during the assault.

It appears Mr.Frankenstien is an enormous piece of shit. Deserves permanent incarceration on the "sisters" unit at the local penitentiary.

We'll all unfortunately hear about something bad this POS will do in the future. Have grave concerns over newton county going light on him......catch and release. His next charges won't be so benign.

Wife will probably go back to him. I'm sure this is something she has tolerated in the past. Not sure why anyone would allow abuse in their relationship. There are too many places that offer help.
