Charges filed: Carthage man's social media post on kidnapping suggests "kill all the witnesses"

A Carthage man is being held on a $10,000 cash only bond after being charged with tampering with a witness in a kidnapping and assault case.

Dennis R. Garrison (DOB 1975) posted the probable cause statement in the kidnapping case against Ronald Allen Sealey (DOB 1965), Carthage, but didn't leave it at that, according to Garrison's probable cause statement.

In addition to the public probable cause statements, Garrison also uploaded a handwritten statement where Garrison lists the names of the confidential witnesses in the PC statement. Garrison goes on to tag VICTIM 1 in the social media post.

A short time later, Garrison makes a post stating, "one solution is to kill all the witnesses."

According to the probable cause statement, Garrison acknowledged to the Carthage Police Department that he made the social media posts and said he met with the alleged victim in the Sealey case after police had left her house.

Garrison was formally arraigned this afternoon by video. A bond hearing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Sealey is being held without bond in the Jasper County Jail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. December 14 in Jasper County Circuit Court before Joseph Joseph Hensley.

Carthage Police arrested Sealey October 11 for allegedly kidnapping, beating and threatening to kill a woman.
