(From Seventh District Congressman Eric Burlison)This week the House passed my amendment to the Transporation, Housing and Urban Development appropriations bill to prohibit taxpayer funds from going to the deployment of electric vehicle charging stations around the country.
The reason I filed this amendment is simple: it is not the role of the federal government to pick winners and losers in the energy and automotive markets. That’s the role of consumers and businesses operating in a free market.
When the government subsidizes EV infrastructure, it raises energy prices for everyone, makes our grid less reliable, and enriches Communist China who controls the world’s critical mineral supply chain.
The federal government is spending your money on someone else’s luxury item while forcing you to stop using cheap, reliable energy sources like oil, coal, and natural gas. Let’s stop robbing Peter to pay Paul. Let’s let consumers decide what they want and allow the free market to work for us.
I’m very pleased my colleagues in the House passed my amendment by voice vote.

A$$, Ga$,or gra$$, nobody rides for free!
ReplyDelete2023, the warmest year on record and pubes wanna keep on burning and drilling instead of building the rechargeable infrastructure.......suicide for the planet. Thanks for looking out for my kids Burleson, loser.
ReplyDeleteWarmest year? How old are you?
DeleteWe could give up, and let the dumbs keep pushing us. But we won’t because this country will not run on batteries, windmills, or liberal hopes and dreams. It went from global warming to climate change and in another few years it will be named something else, whatever fits the agenda.
DeleteThis country will be better off with people like you in the ground.
DeleteBurleson looks like a ventriloquist doll 🤣
Delete8:32 Exhibit A. It's a cult.

ReplyDeleteThe next thing you know the republicans will be attacking the oil depletion allowance subsidy,
and the ethanol subsidy!

ReplyDeleteYou sound like someone who by in the early 1920's saying "We don't want any of those cars powered by a motor that uses gas, my horse does just fine".
And now to our climate, the name commonly used was Global Warming. That is a fact that our earth is warming. But, because of unformed people like you, they thought that was all that was going on. They didn't realize that this warming also meant significant changes in our climate, therefore we had to change the name to Climate Change so people like you could understand.
Why did they call it global cooling in the 70's then? What happened to acid rain? It's a money/fear scam. The earth barely knows we are here.
DeleteOnly a right wing moron or bible bozo would claim "The earth barely knows we are here" after mankind has combusted about 500 billion tons of carbon in the last 250 years.
ReplyDeleteThe earth's atmosphere is essentially a closed system, only a fool (or a liar i.e. 'cigarettes don't cause cancer') would claim combusting half a billion tons of anything won't lead to a significant change.
The earth's atmosphere is also a self cleaning system, one Volcanic eruption emits more pollution into our atmosphere than mankind has in total throughout the entire industrial revolution, but keep telling yourself that if we give more money to the government that they will fix it. It's a money grab. There is nothing wrong with keeping our environment clean and respecting the earth, but these bozos in government just want more money to make their friends rich.
Delete626 and 512 are diagnosable ignorant. It's these kind of deplorable rednecks that believe an 8th grade education is considered middle class and that the moon landing was filmed in a CIA office in DC. I have to assume they both worship the orange fat racist bastard as well. These dregs on society are what our parents thought us to stay away from: "deplorable stranger dangers".
ReplyDeleteSays the baby killer or baby killer supporter
DeleteSays the maganazi (519) who worships the orange fat bastard and agrees with immigrant detention camps, incarceration of political opponents, and mass shootings in schools and malls as acceptable trauma so the maganazi himself can carry his own automatic weapon to protect himself from minorities, liberals, and other "dangerous, vile, offenders of the maga way".
