Security camera footage taken January 17 showed a silver Subaru Forester SUV dropping off a man who went to a telephone pole cutting a large amount of wire from the pole and leaving, according to the probable cause statement.
At that point, the hospital, which is not identified in the statement, was cut off from all phone services.
Six days later, the same Subaru Forester was stopped by the Joplin Police Department and a large amount of the phone line was in the vehicle, the probable cause statement said.
During an interview earlier today, Foust acknowledged he was the one who stole the wire, according to the probable cause statement.
