Missouri Attorney General announces challenge to Biden’s latest student loan plan

(From Attorney General Andrew Bailey)

Today, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced a lawsuit against the President’s latest illegal loan “cancellation” plan and issued the following statement:

“I’m extremely pleased to see Kansas is leading a multi-state coalition in challenging President Biden’s latest attempt to unlawfully transfer hundreds of thousands of dollars in Ivy League debt onto working Missouri families.

"I’m pleased to share that my office is also leading a multi-state coalition and will be filing suit in Missouri in the coming days. Between our two coalitions of states, we will get this matter in front of a judge even more quickly to deliver a win for the American people. The Supreme Court sided with Missouri on this matter the first time. I look forward to bringing home yet another win for the Constitution and the rule of law.”

“Arkansas was part of the original coalition that sued the Biden administration over its first unlawful debt-cancellation plan. President Biden has already lost on this question once, and he is refusing to follow the law.

"The Supreme Court could not have been clearer: President Biden cannot unilaterally cancel student debt and force taxpayers to bear the multi-billion-dollar cost,” added Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin.

The United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of Attorney General Bailey’s previous challenge to the Biden Administration’s unilateral and unlawful wealth transfer of hundreds of billions of dollars in student loan debt. In a 6-3 decision, the Court struck down Biden’s repayment plan as unconstitutional, citing the massive $430 billion-plus impact on the federal budget without express authority from Congress. The Court held that Missouri’s student loan servicing company, MOHELA, was an arm of Missouri’s state government, and therefore, granted the states standing to challenge the student loan plan.

Andrew Bailey is an unelected clown that does nothing but waste our tax dollars on political theater to rile up his ignorant base.

6:59AM - So you support the plan to let the students out of their obligation to pay their loans, and you are willing to pay the loans of for them ?

    @8:05

I do support it, these institutions are notoriously predatory, education should be free. I don't see you crying about paying for school for all the area kids, why should college be any different?

@9:42 AM "education should be free"... spoken like a true liberal who has no clue where the money comes from to pay for all your "free" stuff. "why should college be any different"... CHOICE. they chose to sign for that loan, they should pay for it.

1117 obviously has no conceptual idea of college or how it works and should stay out of any argument pertaining to higher education. Keep in mind 1117, while your college educated surgeon operates on your decaying body, I'm sure you don't want him or her worrying over the hundreds of thousands they owe in school loans. You might try thinking before opening your uneducated trap next time.

I think you can kindly keep to yourself until you hold the same stances on social security, fire departments, police departments, telecommunications services, roads, parks, and a plethora of other "free stuff", as you put it.

No, it's not free, we all pay a little bit more in taxes to fund it. I'd rather my taxes funding our future instead of lining the pockets of politicians and corporations.

This as crystal clear as it gets.

If your for loan forgiveness please send me your address so I can forward all my bills to you since your so open minded and generous.

212 obviously has limited education and should be grateful that college educated people protect his well-being, repair his ignorant mistakes, and give him direction so as not be any more of a burden upon society than he already is. If 212 had any common sense, he would see his life owing much to college educated individuals and in all honesty, he should feel grateful to contribute to paying off college loans. All he has in life is directly associated with the college educated. This is the cost of the uneducated depending on the educated.

As a College Educated Professional, I believe that until they offer Free Tuition to All, you have to Pay for that Privilege to Attend College, if you cannot get Grants or Scholarships to Cover those Costs - I was able and fortunate to receive some Scholarships and Work and Pay for my College Education - It was not Easy and did Take Longer and Greater Sacrifices than I had anticipated, but I accomplished it.

When I hear about all these People who took out Student Loans - I believe if you get any Type of Loan, Whether House, Automobile, or Education - You are obligated to Pay for that Obligation. 3:25PM and 3:51PM - Do you Two Understand Common Sense - that you do have to Pay for your Loans in Life, when you Borrow and Sign a Contract to do so - You do not get to Pick and Choose which Loans you Pay For. It is not the Responsibility of the Government to Forgive or Pay For Your Loans, because you got a Degree that was not Financial Useable or You were Unable to Use it in the Marketplace. That is On You...

When will People realize that they need to Stop looking for the US Government to Bail their Asses Out all the Time. Stop Living on Society - If you need to - Work 2-Jobs, Stop Living Beyond Your Means - Face the Facts and the Truth - Stop Blaming Others for your Decisions / Mistakes - and Pay For Your Financial Obligations, and No I am not a MAGAt, Nor Do I Hate Children, I am a Registered Democrat, Who Believes that People Need to be Responsible for their Own Actions, Whatever happened to Hard Working Honest Americans that had Character and Paid their Own Bills, is that Lost On People Who Expect Everything in Life to be Given to Them - Is this the Age of Entitlement - Give Me, Give Me, - I am Privileged and Deserving of Special Consideration. These Attitudes should Worry All Americans -

As mentioned in many posts - if you sign the papers for a student loan - you are obligated to pay the loan (no diffent than any other loan auto, mortgage, etc). This is not a very "complicated concept". Also, what has been implied on several posts - take responsibility for your actions - and stop blaming society, other people, etc.

Serveral members of my family - have taken out school loans (one for over $100,000) and each of them "sucked it up" worked hard and paid back their loans. I remember when a person who paid his student loan back - asked Elizabeth Warren - if he would get a student load "refund" if all student loans were forgiven - and Elizabeth Warren - gave him a "deer in the headlight" look.

The main reason Joe Biden wants loan forgiveness - is to get more votes.

So many of you are like "You should pay back your loans", while ignoring things like the massive PPE scam on taxpayers.

Btw guys, forgiving student loans costs the taxpayers less than fortune 500 companies getting nonstop handouts, including having their loans forgiven. At least forgiving student debt supports the common wellbeing of our citizens.

A significant number of people in MAGAstan don't value education, that's easy to understand as soon as you realize they don't value knowledge or logical thinking as well.

For many MAGAstanis the only book they think is necessary is the bible, and only the King James Version at that. The ability to read and and comoprehend the copntents of theKJV aren't necessary or important for many of the Magastani's, as they pay a 10% tax to their so called spititual leaders to do the reading and comprehending for them.

Just don't try to tell the Magastanis they are starting to resemble the other religious nutter stans and stanis, as they don't think that's covered in their KJV or the pastor's sermons.

The above also applies to science, the germ theory, face masks and now, sadly, vaccinations.
