The McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney filed a statutory sodomy charge against a Noel man who allegedly made a girl younger than 12 perform a sex act on him.
According to the probable cause statement, the child said during a July 17, 2020 forensic interview that Zachary David Ambrose (DOB 2000) had committed the act and showed what was done by using male and female dolls.
For some reason, not mentioned in the statement, the matter was not pursued until the girl's parents called the McDonald County Sheriff's Office March 29.
Upon arrival in the office, Ambrose was brought into the interview room, where I read him his Miranda rights. I asked Ambrose if he understood his rights, and he stated yes. I then asked Ambrose if he would speak with me, and he stated yes.
During the interview, Ambrose stated back in the year 2020, (he) was not sure on the exact date, he came home intoxicated, where he went into his room, to find {the child}.
Ambrose stated he grabbed {the child}.by the shoulders and pulled her close to him. Ambrose stated he said something to her, but could not remember, and stated when he pulled her over to him, she put her mouth on {him}. Ambrose stated it happened for about 30 seconds.
